Lydia and Doug McLaughlin bring their design vision to life at their beautiful family home. And when it comes to incorporating tile, they seamlessly blended classic patterns with pops of color and eclectic modernity. We are excited to share this gorgeous collaboration with Emser Tile. Our various glazed porcelain and ceramic collections cover their laundry room, bathrooms, pool bath, outdoor BBQ area, and more. Find out what Lydia had to say about each space!
Laundry Room
“I’m so happy about my dream laundry room. We gave this room a total makeover. We wanted it to feel warm and inviting. We did all grey tones and used the Bizou Chevron on the wall for a gorgeous geometric look. The white & grey marble tile is so luxurious and gets so many compliments.”
Pool Bathroom
“Our pool bathroom is all about fun so we wanted a colorful, tropical vibe. Since we used a bold, busy, wallpaper we decided to go with the Bauhaus tile in black & white. It gives us a geometric floor that is unique, but doesn’t compete with the wallpaper so is the perfect balance.”
“The Pink Passion tiles were exactly what I was looking for to have a fun colorful moment in our pool bathroom. We tried several configurations of the 3×8” tiles, but ultimately loved how the herringbone pattern looked. This is definitely a “wow” moment for this bathroom.”
BBQ/Outdoor Kitchen
“We really wanted the “wood plank” look for under our outdoor countertop, but we needed something durable to last outside with the elements. These ceramic planks match the white oak planks we use inside the house really well, and gives some amazing texture to the colorful stone used on the countertop.”
Guest Bathroom
“For our guest bathroom, we wanted the shower to have a fun, geometric look. We wanted marble and absolutely loved the Bizou Crest pattern. It is bold and demands attention right when you walk it. We love how it turned out.”
Gym Bathroom
“For our gym bathroom we wanted to go bold with a dark marble shower and dark accent wall using the large 24”x47” Parkview tiles. We love the dark, deep color and the polished porcelain looks amazing with the brass hardware.”
