The International Surface Event (TISE) 2019 sparked inspiration for every surface imaginable — expansive floors, accent walls, backsplashes and more. For the second year in a row, we were honored to win “Best Of” Style & Design awards for Emser Tile collections! Rhapsody, a bold black and white geometric tile, won “Best Of” SURFACES - Style & Design, and Myth a retro-inspired mosaic tile collection with a fresh modern twist, won “Best Of” TileExpo - Style & Design.
“We take great pride in continuously expanding our product portfolio with new, design-forward tile and stone collections, like Rhapsody and Myth. Winning not only one, but two industry awards demonstrates our success and reaffirms our commitment to do so,” shares Crista Tekstra, senior brand manager for Emser Tile. “It’s an incredible honor to win two “Best Of” design awards this year at TISE.”

Rhapsody, “Best Of” SURFACES - Style & Design
Rhapsody marries an alluring distressed finish with modern indoor-outdoor design flexibility. White and black simplistic, diagonal and floral patterns transform any space into a rustic retreat. Customizable statement surface art, Rhapsody porcelain tiles in 13” x 13” patterns move from floor to wall, resulting in unique chevron, kaleidoscope-inspired and alternating installation depending on the designer’s preference.
Myth, Best of TileExpo - Style & Design
Intricate geometrics inspired by whimsical retro patterns find new form in Emser Tile’s Myth series. Arabesque, petal and wave motifs emerge in white, light gray, and pewter tones for a multi-dimensional focal point. The result invites modern, matte backsplashes and bold surface designs to today’s kitchens, baths, and accent walls. The ceramic collection was also named a Best Bath Product finalist for IBS 2019.
The “Best Of” Event Awards is an annual awards program for exhibiting companies whose products are considered “Best Of” in their class. The awards, announced on the show floor at TISE, are sponsored by Floor Covering News and TILE Magazine.
“We’re so appreciative of the hard work and effort that goes towards creating products, setting up displays and developing a one-of-a-kind experience for attendees,” shared Amie Gilmore, CEM, show director, The International Surface Event, Informa Exhibitions, in reference to the show’s winners. “Because of their diligent efforts to improve their offerings, our industry can provide the world with cutting edge floor covering products and services. We are honored to award these efforts each year! Congratulations!”
