As springtime approaches, we often find ourselves looking for ways to refresh our homes. One of our favorite ways to liven up any space is to update our walls. Whether it be a fresh coat of paint or accenting a wall with tile floor-to-ceiling, simply updating a wall in one room can completely transform any environment.
Wall tile offers a range of styles, from the classic subway to bold and dynamic patterns. It also offers lasting durability against those everyday scuff marks or spills. Today, we’re sharing a few creative ways you can enhance your walls with tile:
Add a unique kitchen backsplash
The kitchen can be one of the most frequented spaces in the home, often a gathering place where friends and family can experience the joy of cooking together. Adding or updating a backsplash can transform the look and feel of a kitchen. With tiles that fit every style from minimalist to classic to rustic, you are sure to find a tile that will suit your design preferences. As an extra benefit, tiles are easily wiped down for those little kitchen messes. Here, this brick-look tile adds contrasting texture to sleek kitchen counters, cabinets, and shelving, while the continued neutral palette ties the space together.
Create a show stopping accent wall
Installing a bold tile from floor-to-ceiling is the perfect way to create a statement focal point in any room. Choosing a tile with a dynamic pattern element can add dimension to a space, drawing the eye in and make it feel larger. The larger formats of many of our tile collections make installation a breeze. In this space, the chevron design and creates a sense of movement while the glossy finish reflects light back into the room.
Add a pop of color
Spring and summertime bring brighter colors both outdoors as well as in the home. One of our favorite ways to carry the warm environment indoors is by adding a pop of color to walls. A colorful tile is an easy way to liven up any space, whether featured in a series of shelves or as a backsplash detail, as seen here with our Colori series.
Play with shape
Triangles and hexagons aren’t reserved for geometry class. Adding geometric tiles to a wall can completely shift and transform a space. With tile collections that come in multiple colorways, you can play with different formations to find the combinations that best suit you. In this space, white and metallic colorways of our Code series are combined to add a playful design feature.
